ST. LOUIS, Mo. — March 3, 2026 — James Clinic, a leading functional and integrative medicine group, today applauded the appointment of Angelina Farella, M.D., who leads the clinic’s Pediatric Program, to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
According to the official announcement from HHS, Dr. Farella joins ACIP as part of an effort to bring diverse clinical expertise and frontline experience to national immunization policy recommendations. ACIP provides guidance to the CDC and HHS on the use of vaccines in the United States civilian population.
Dr. Farella is a board-certified pediatrician with more than two decades of experience in private practice, pediatric urgent care, and academic medicine. She also serves patients at James Clinic in St. Louis several days each month, where she leads the Pediatric Program, providing individualized, patient-centered care grounded in clinical excellence and transparency.
James Clinic Founder Dr. Mollie James, a board-certified surgeon and critical care specialist, praised the appointment.
“We are incredibly proud to have Dr. Farella as part of the James Clinic team,” said Dr. Mollie James. “Her depth of experience in pediatrics, her commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based care, and her heart for families make her an exceptional physician. She brings years of frontline knowledge to this national role, and I know she will contribute valuable clinical insight to the ACIP committee.”
Dr. Farella completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she served as Pediatric Chief Resident, and has held academic appointments in clinical medical education. Her appointment to ACIP reflects decades of experience caring for children and advising families on complex health decisions.
At James Clinic, Dr. Farella’s work reflects the clinic’s broader mission: addressing root causes of illness, empowering patients and parents with clear information, and fostering trust through individualized care.
As ACIP continues its role advising national immunization policy, James Clinic celebrates this recognition of Dr. Farella’s experience and dedication to pediatric medicine.
